High Country Caregivers is proud to announce the 5th Annual Coaches Invitational Golf Tournament, taking place May 18 at Blowing Rock Country Club. This year’s event will bring together more than 25 coaches and athletes from collegiate and professional sports for a day of golf and community in support of kinship families across the High Country.
Hosted by Appalachian State University Hall of Fame Head Football Coach Jerry Moore, this year’s tournament carries added significance as participants come together to honor the memory of the late Coach Shawn Clark.
The weekend begins Sunday, May 17, with a dinner, silent auction, and evening reception under the tent at Chetola Resort and Spa. Tournament play begins at 9 a.m. on Monday, May 18, with players randomly paired alongside participating coaches and athletes. On-course competitions include closest-to-the-pin, longest drive, and hole-in-one contests, with prizes that include a Dormie Golf package, a one-year vehicle lease from Friendship Honda of Boone, and an all-expenses-paid golf trip for four to Pebble Beach.
Team and sponsorship opportunities are still available. The sponsorship deadline is April 19.
