High Country Caregivers’ 2022 event, A Night at Chetola was a feat like no other. Just as the leaves began showing their first hints of orange, Chetola Lake saw visits from hundreds of members of the HCC community. September 15th became a date for the books as supporters generously accumulated over $70,000 by the end of the night. The proceeds will go towards HCC’s many fund-a-need programs, as well as general support for families facing the hardships of kinship navigation.

Though it included live music, a dance floor, immaculate food, and a more than skilled magician, this night was not brought together by magic. High Country Caregivers gives a special thanks to The Kennedy-Herterich Foundation, Chetola Resort of Blowing Rock, Blowing Rock Brewing, Amorem Hospice, Detailed Solutions LLC, David & Brenda Beatty, and our Celebrity Guests Jeff Lindsay & Hilary Hemingway for allowing A Night at Chetola to be a night of giving.

High Country Caregivers also gives a warm thank you to the platinum sponsors of the event for their unwavering support during our fundraisers, including LifeStore Bank, DelMonico Group LLC, The Tarbutton Family Foundation, Coach Jerry & Margaret Moore, Connie & Brock Baird, Thrivent, Rebecca Scialpi & Jesse Small, Joan & Albert Benbasat, Sofield Properties, New River Building Supply & Lumber Co., and Appnet New Media Studio.

Of course, HCC is more than grateful for its constant community support, including the volunteers and local businesses that hold these events together. High Country Caregivers proudly supports its families of the High Country, though it is impossible without the community. A Night at Chetola was a success for HCC, but a triumph for the children it serves. Looking ahead, we hope to see our community on Chetola Lake again next year. Many thanks and a Happy Holidays to all as we approach another season of giving!
