High Country Caregivers (HCC) hosted its 4th Annual Coaches’ Invitational Golf Tournament on May 18–19. The two‑day fundraiser raised over $190,000 for HCC’s programs supporting families where caregivers raise relatives’ or friends’ children.
The weekend began with a kickoff dinner at Chetola Resort. Nearly 200 guests enjoyed dinner, a silent auction, and a cocktail tent while hearing from speakers including Bobby Cremins. He shared stories from his decades‑long coaching career, including his successful transition from Appalachian State Mountaineers to Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.
On Monday, tournament participants played at Blowing Rock Country Club under ideal weather. The event drew coaches, celebrities, and supporters from across the region. Attendees included Buzz Peterson and five‑time World Masters Longest Drive Champion Jeff Crittenden, among others.
HCC’s Executive Director, Jacob Willis, expressed gratitude for the community support. He noted that this annual fundraiser helps HCC support hundreds of families.
